Lea Fellows   Greetings from the Principal
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my excitement about my return and appointment as the new principal at Rolling Ridge Elementary. This is my 22nd year in education. Formerly, I was the principal at Hidden Trails Elementary and the assistant principal at both Country Springs and Rolling Ridge. Prior to becoming an administrator, I had the pleasure of being a classroom teacher for eighteen years. In that capacity, I served as an administrative designee, acted as a mentor to new teachers through the Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment Provider (BTSA), participated in a variety of school and district committees, and served as a Professional Development Leader (PDL). My latest accomplishment has been serving as the facilitator for a School Smarts Parent Academy sponsored by the California State PTA and the Hewlett Foundation, advocates for the arts in education.
My goal, as well as the District's, is to promote a positive climate, provide a safe school, and to continue to build student achievement. I feel fortunate to be part of a school culture focused on student learning, a commitment to high expectations, and collaboration. It is my intention to carry on these important traditions and practices. The students, parents, community members, and staff at Rolling Ridge are outstanding, and I am looking forward to meeting and working with you all.
